2 Months Old!!!

Tomorrow is January 10th and Jalen will be 2 months old! Time has just flown by and he is getting bigger and showing more and more personality by the day. He can lift his head up and is starting to move it back and forth while lying on his tummy and loves to stand up and bounce up and down if you just hold him lightly at his ribcage. Last Friday he weighed 8lbs 14 oz and he has his 2 month check-up this Friday where he will get shots :o(

I started my clinical rotation on Monday and everything has went great. I miss Jalen like crazy but luckily most days go by fast and on my long days I get to see him at lunch. While I am gone, Nana watches Jalen and we have started to get a little routine down where Jalen will sleep for 2 hours in the morning and give his Nana some time to get ready. He is also sleeping through the night which I appreciate so much! I nurse him around 7pm, he gets a bath around 9pm and 4 oz of formula at 9:30 and will sleep from 10:30pm-4:00am when I wake him up because it is when I have to get up!

From here on out I will be updating the blog every weekend since I don't have much time during the week. Here are some pictures from the past week...enjoy!

Happy New Years!

We hope you all had a wonderful 2008 and wish you the best in 2009! We didn't do too much for New Years, jut stayed in and got Christmas decorations packed away and hung out with eachother watching the New Years Eve specials. It is nice to have a long weekend but on the other side, it just means that much closer to me going back on my clinical rotation full time! I am not looking forward to it at all because it means I have to leave Jalen and even though I know he'll be in good hands with my mom-in-law I have never been away from him for more than an hour and can't imagine 8+ hours without seeing him.

Jalen is now 7 weeks old and will be getting his 2 month check-up soon which includes getting his shots :o( He is getting so much bigger and really acknowledging Jason and I when we talk to him or play with him. The other day I was getting ready and I looked down at him in his bouncer and he was staring right at me from about 4 feet below. I started talking to him and he got excited- it was so cute!

Christmas Day Pictures & Jalen's Baptism

On Sunday, December 28th we had Jalen baptized at Jason's dad's church, Sun Lakes United Methodist. Jalen did pretty well and only got fussy for part of the baptism making his "Boompa" (Jim) look bad. Afterwards we had a lunch at Jason's parents house that was very nice. Thank you to all who was able to attend and for all of the gifts we received for Jalen, it was such a nice day!
