Jalen's smiles

I swear, every time Jalen gets excited and smiles non-stop, he stops as soon as I get the video camera on him. Luckily I am able to catch a few of them but he usually goes for 30 minutes just smiling and cooing/giggling. Maybe someday I can catch him at his best but here are a few on camera. Also I was holding a toy up above his head and moving it side to side and up and down to show his smooth tracking now.

9 hours of sleep!

Jalen has now slept 2 nights in a row for almost 9 hours straight! I can't believe it at only 2 1/2 months old but I'll take it! He got the rest of his 2 mth vaccinations yesterday and did really well. He is 22 inches long and 9lbs 15 oz...we're almost to double digits! Today we are going to a baby shower and Jalen will get to meet more of our friends for the first time. He is finally able to start wearing his 0-3 mth pants and look more like a big boy in his cute little outfits. The pictures below, he is wearing the pants and socks we brought him home from the hospital in and they finally fit (still a little big in the waist though)...enjoy!

His eyes are turning greenish-brown now so we'll see what he ends up with, mom has green and dad has brown.

Teething Video

Jalen doesn't have teeth coming through yet but he is chewing on our fingers and drooling like crazy!

2 Month Check Up

Jalen had his 2 month check up at the doctors yesterday and he is doing great! He got half of his vaccinations but we are waiting till next week to get the rest to break it up so he doesn't get 6 at once! He did great and only cried for a brief minute during the shot and was fine after and had a great day today too. He weighs 9lbs 6oz...still tiny but growing as he should. Once again the doctor was very surprised and happy that he held his head up and his body up so well at such a young age. He really is changing so much and it is so cute to see him really recognize our voices and faces and smile at us. He smiles all the time and they are such huge smiles, it is so cute.

We will be heading back to Chicago in 6 weeks and are so excited for everyone to get to meet him. We'll be in Chicago on Feb 28th-29th and at my parents in Kingston from the 29th- March 6th so if you are around we would love to see you!

Play Date and More

Aunt Kathy flew out from Virginia this past week and got to meet Jalen for the first time which was very nice. Jalen also had a play date, well mommy and daddy had friends over for dinner and we laid the babies next to eachother to get pictures but when they are older I'm sure they will interact much more. They are just few weeks apart so it is fun to see how they act and and watch how alert they are becoming.
