Over the weekend

This weekend Jalen's remains of his umbilical cord fell off and now we can see his cute little belly button. This is very exciting because it means we are closer to being able to give him a real bath, now just have to wait for his circumcision to fully heal. He and I both have our 2-week check-ups tomorrow morning. If all is well I should get the clearance to be able to drive again and hopefully Jalen's weight is back up to what he was at birth.

We are trying to get Jalen on a schedule and some days he does really well but others he seems to get his nights and days confused and sleeps all day to be up all night! Today Jalen got to meet some girls from school at a meet and greet brunch at Auntie Jen and Uncle Ryan's house. He slept most of the time as expected. Here are some pictures from this weekend. He is already changing so much and I finally got a good picture to show off his pretty blue eyes!

Napping on the couch...you can see his belly button

Wearing the comfy pants Erika got him (the matching onesie is still a bit too big though)

he looks so excited here, I love it!

Hi Joely!

Oh my gosh! What a beautiful little boy you and Jason have! I love the pictures. He is just adorable. I hope we get to see you in March as well. I know your dad will keep us posted on your travels.

So happy everything went well. Take care!
Love Syd

Crazy how quickly the grow, huh? Already from the weeks pictures he seems to be much more alert. He is precious (but I don't need to tell you that)! His lips are adorable! I love the pic with your pup..haha...totally something Mya (ours pup) would do. Elliana has been great with the schedules but it is funny how every blue moon she will get off of it...it's like she doesn't want us to get too comfortable with it..hehe. She has been this way since birth. Well, motherhood fits you perfectly...seems like a sinch for you. Keep the pics coming! Have a great Thanksgiving!
